Pricing changes will only happen once my slots are empty.

Half of the original payment that was agreed to must be sent before I start on the commissioned piece. With Ko-Fi and Messy tier doodles, I require the full amount before starting.

Do not send any money until a commission deal has been negotiated and confirmed.

If I have finished the commission and have not received the final payment you will not get the finished piece. Receiving a finished commission is only reciprocated as soon as the payment has been processed.

Slot availability will be posted in my pinned tumblr post when applicable. I will also be making commission calling posts as well. Those posts will be tagged with #rustyratcomms

I will consistently check in with progress pictures once I have started on the commission. Please keep an eye out for messages from me in case I happen to have questions regarding your commission.

If I have not received any communication from you for more than two weeks, your commission will be put on hold. If it has been more than two months, I will consider the commission abandoned and no refund will be issued. You must sign up for a slot again, and a new payment must be negotiated.

Refunds are strictly a case-by-case basis. If I have already received the half payment, I will usually not refund it. The half-payment system is in place to help compensate my time and effort put into the piece already. If the full payment has already been received, no refund will be issued. The only instance where refunds would be definitely issued is when I have not started the piece at all, or decide not to complete it due to other circumstances.

Because I'll be taking multiple slots at once and I am a full-time student, a time estimate will only be provided once we've confirmed a commission deal. Please be aware that it will be a rough estimate as I am starting to get a handle on time management with just opening commissions.

The character(s) must have a clear digital reference. If you only have a physical paper reference, it must be properly scanned and legible. Color references must have flat colors, or have hex codes provided.

Please note that any piece I complete may be displayed on this website and my other social media. If you do not want me to post the commission publicly you must explicitly tell me when requesting. I'll ask for character design credit before publishing, your social media to link, and then send you the post link post-publishing.

If you plan on reposting the commission elsewhere (either in it's entirety or using it as an icon) you must give me credit by linking to my Tumblr (opportunemoment; helljunker) and/or Carrd website (https://rustyrat.carrd.co/).

You may not remove the watermark in a completed, full-scaled piece, or manipulate or modify the image in a major way.

I have the right to refuse any commission. A reason may or may not be given.

A character's design that I have drawn can be changed later. The original drawing I illustrated may not be manipulated in any way, as detailed above, but the base design is yours to keep; you have the right to change the colors, shape, form, lore, pronouns and biography, etc.

If the custom is part of an original species, you must give me information on the species before I start drawing. I will not be doing my own research on the matter so this is your responsibility to inform me, to ensure the character follows the species guidelines.

Unless I or you have designed the base, I will not design characters from bases.

You can resell, gift or trade the character design in any fashion as long as the credit for the character's original design has been properly attributed to me.

Anthro, human/humanoid, feral. I am best at drawing these figures.

Mecha/robots. I am okay at drawing these figures.

Mythological beings or unorthodox/complicated designs. The references have to be detailed and informative for me to accept these commissions.
